Dating your girlfriend best friend
If it’s never happened to you, let me first say you’re lucky and then let me say that it absolutely sucks.
Being betrayed by two people you care about has to be one of the worst feelings ever, especially when things are done in an underhanded and sneaky way.
Note: when you break up with your girlfriend, do not tell her it's because you're in love with her girlfriend.
Say that your feelings for her have changed and that she deserves someone who can love her properly and have a future with her. You have to decide whether you want to pursue the best friend. For one, it will make it even harder for your ex-girlfriend to get over you. Second, if the best friend is any kind of friend at all, she'll turn you down out of loyalty to your ex-girlfriend.
But while others might think of you as insular or clingy, you know better. When you hang out, you wind up cracking each other up so much you can’t breathe. Not just in the basic ways, like trusting you not to cheat on him when you go out.
They wholeheartedly believe that it's wrong, disrespectful, and if a friend did that to them, they'd never talk to that person again.
They believe this is something everybody knows, that they're just following the rules.
There's nothing quite like feeling a spark of attraction between you and someone you just met, but lately, we've been wondering whether it's better to date a friend, or at least somebody we've known longer than just a couple of weeks.
And who knows more about us than just our name and phone number?
